Aki Fueda

Aki Fueda completed her Master’s degree in Oil Painting at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2001. Deeply attached to her hometown of Musashino, Tokyo, Fueda has created numerous works related to this area. Among these is her long-running series of artworks featuring Hanako, an elephant who once lived at Inokashira Park Zoo in Kichijoji. After Hanako’s passing, a bronze statue of the elephant, sculpted by Fueda, was installed at JR Kichijoji Station.
Fueda’s profound affection for delicate yet resilient creatures such as animals, insects, and plants is evident in her work. She demonstrates her artistic genius across a wide range of media, including painting (oil, ink, watercolor), sculpture, and installations that incorporate these elements.

Three Giclée prints by Aki Fueda are now available for purchase at ANA ART TRANSIT!
