Mariko Asayama
Born in Kumamoto Prefecture, Mariko Asayama graduated from the Department of Arts at Musashino Art Junior College and later from the Graduate School of Arts at Kyoto University of Art and Design. She currently works as a part-time lecturer at Kyoto University of the Arts. In 2010, Asayama began her photography career, drawing on her passion for mountain climbing to establish herself as a landscape photographer. She also has a deep knowledge of horticulture and landscaping, which she incorporates into her artistic creations, focusing primarily on the beautiful landscapes of Japan. Her unique talent for framing is evident in her works, many of which feature Japan’s seasonal landscapes and the flora and fauna of its rural areas.
Giclée prints of Asayama’s works will be available for purchase starting in late October at ANA ART TRANSIT.
