The 71st "Hakushu Festival Water Parade"

The "Hakushu Festival Water Parade" is held annually to honor the great achievements of Mr. Kitahara Hakushu, the poet who was the pride of Yanagawa, and to promote "Suigo Yanagawa," which was the mother of the poems of Mr. Kitahara Hakushu, and to develop Yanagawa as a tourist destination. Along the 4-km course, stages are set up at various locations to showcase local performing arts, taiko drum performances, choral chorus, brass bands, and more. At the final stop, the parade finishes with a fireworks display. The parade is unique to the "Suigo Yanagawa" area, and visitors can fully enjoy the fantastic night and the memory of Mr. Kitahara Hakushu.
